George Bramble is currently ranked as Renshi (Jr. Master) of Mukashi Kindai Ryu (MKR) based in Summerville S.C. His career in the martial arts began in 1986 in Lochbuie Colorado where he attended classes studying Shimpu Kai Kempo karate under Shihan Michael Campbell. While only at the dojo for eight months, he was trained in traditional karate, self defense techniques, sparring as well as the five Peian [Heian] katas and Nifunchi
1,2 and 3 and was awarded the rank of Rokkyu.

   In the spring of 1987 he and his family moved to Manassas, Virginia where he continued to study the lessons brought from Colorado as he had promised his Shihan to stay true to the style that was taught him.

   In 1990 he relocated to Summerville S.C. following hurricane Hugo and the opportunity to start a small landscape company there. In 1991 he enrolled at the Southeastern School of Self Defense where after three months of cross training he was able to test for Rokkyu in MKR.
