Several factors are considered before a dojo is accepted for chartered membership:
- An affiliation agreement between you and MKKI. (Free Charter Franchise)
- All students must register with the Kai.
- Head instructor/owner qualification
- Agreement that MKR will be the only martial arts system you will teach at your school(s)

We promote the martial arts primarily as an art form, and
secondly monies are made to maintain your equipment, dojo and expenses
and then profit.
AFFILIATION
When you become affiliated as a certified martial arts school of Mukashi Kindai Kai International, you also become indirectly affiliated to the resources of the Kai.Periodically clinics and seminars are conducted at the Kai Honbu, and at remote retreats. The training sessions are designed for all Kai membership participation.
Your dojo, and members will receive the MKKI newsletter. This newsletter is a communication link throughout the Kai, for members to stay informed of the latest Kai news, clinics, seminars, interesting articles, and martial arts information. Your dojo news is part of the newsletter. The newsletter is only available on-line.
